After hearing a few luggage related horror stories from people who had to return home during a recent storm, changing planes and arriving at otherwise undesirable destinations only to find out that their belongings did not make to anywhere near where they were supposed to be going, I got an idea for a luggage tag that would instill respect in all baggage-handlers:

Nemo me impune perdit! Nobody looses me unpunished!

This is, of course, inspired by the Scottish (among other adopters) motto:

Nemo me impune lacessit. Nobody provokes (harasses, challenges, attacks etc.) me unpunished.

Well, sort of... I am not a collector, I just happened to have a few worthless coins lying around. It was rather difficult to see the name of the emperor and the design was not a very clear one. But it did look like there were two soldiers holding standards of their Legions. I went to vcrc.austincollege.edu, typed 'soldiers' in the search box and got a list of coins with pictures, some of which resembled mine. Done deal! The emperor was Constantine II and the motto on the coin was Gloria Exercitus - 'Glory of the Army'.
